Luke Gibson

Growing up, I was greatly influenced by my Grandfather’s incredible musical taste. Inspired by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, and other musical heroes from the 50’s and 60’s blues and Rock’n’Roll era, I eventually turned to writing my own music. By the young age of nine, I started playing guitar. By my early teens, my older brothers followed the indie music scene and started a band of their own. After multiple attempts of joining the band, I was denied. This is when I decided to do my own thing.

I played my first gig at fifteen in Bathgate and have been playing music ever since. I have played at venues from Edinburgh to Glasgow – Dundee to Aberdeen. I have opened for such artists as Bill Ryder-Jones from The Coral, and Kyle Falconer from The View. This fall I will be playing at the EH6 Music Festival in Leith, Scotland.

My lyrics speak tales of a modern world with a sound greatly influenced by my heroes from that golden age of blues and rock and roll. From that, I have developed my own sound that tells my story. I hope you enjoy it.
