Jo and Nicky D’arc make up The Twistettes with their dirty, twisted bass sound, a hit of swinging flare and thumping driving drums. They are DIY, punk, riot grrrl, real-deal indie with a touch of psychobilly.
The Twistettes have a strong DIY ethos which has lead to connecting with other like minds and becoming involved in a variety of eclectic and exciting gigs in clubs, fields, warehouses, pubs, flats and gar-dens across the country. This includes a sold out show at the Glasgow Barrowland as part of DIY collective The Yellow Movement. The band have performed at a number of festivals including Eden, Kelburn Garden Party, MugStock, Loch Lomond Boat Party, Doune the Rabbit Hole and Audio Soup. They have also supported Alabama 3, Frightened Rabbit and Colonel Mustard & Thge Dijon 5.
