SIOBHAN WILSON
Singer-songwriter and composer Siobhan Wilson grew up in Elgin, Scotland. She has toured the UK, USA and Canada supporting the likes of Suzanne Vega and The Proclaimers and as well as her own headline shows. Her song ‘Terrible Woman’ featured on the UK BBC Drama “Back To Life” from the producers of Fleabag, and is being aired currently on the TV channel Showtime, Netflix, BBC iPlayer. “Marry You” featured on Frankie Boyle’s prime time UK TV show New World Order.
New release “Quand La Vie Fait Mal” received BBC6 radio play this year, and was performed live at Celtic Connections in January 2023 with CLR Theory. This co-write features Clementine March, Lost Map. Siobhan appeared on BBC Radio Scotland, live in session in March 2023. Her new release, Unst Boat Song, is arrangement of the traditional sea prayer sung in Norn and Shetlandic dialect, featured on God Is In The TV Zine, Fresh On The Net, and The List, 2023.
Siobhan is also the singing voice in the trailer for indie game “Planet of Lana”, for Takeshi Furukawa, Xbox, Wishfully, Thunderful 2023.
Her releases have been shortlisted for the Scottish Album of the Year award, drew attention from the likes of Rolling Stone and BBC6 Radio Lauren Laverne who listed it as her ‘album of the day, shortlisted for “Best Musician” in The Sunday Herald Culture Awards.
Siobhan appears twice in this year’s festival!
Saturday on the Dragon stage at 1.45pm and headlines the Monday Warmdown on the Osprey stage at 2pm.
